Recruitment

VISTA WANTS PEOPLE WHO WILL KEEP US OUT FRONT IN CINEMA TECHNOLOGY.

The Vista Story

At Vista, we love cinema — we live it, work it, breathe it!  Our mission is to enhance the cinema experience for all. We’re looking for smart, enthusiastic stars to join our New Zealand-based, world-leading software team to fulfil our goal of global domination.

Vista is the world leader and only global player in cinema management software. With an estimated 38% market share (meaning our software is installed in over 90 countries), our suite of integrated and scalable software is installed worldwide. We are the founding company in Vista Group, which offers software solutions across the wider movie industry.

Our success is built on recognising the importance of our employees. We are a company that looks after our own, with many of our team part of Vista for more than a decade. With offices in Auckland, Los Angeles, London, Beijing, Shanghai, Cape Town and Mexico City – collectively supporting our many customers –  Vista provides opportunities for career growth and travel.

Do you have what it takes?

Put your degree to use! We're looking for our future developers, test analysts, software services consultants, and business analysts. To apply, you need to have completed or be close to completing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems, or Information Technology. These are fulltime, permanent roles, based in our Auckland office.

Who we're looking for

The Vista Graduate programme is about you as well as Vista. We understand that no two individuals are the same and we want to make it work for you. Therefore, we let you make your decision on what product (web, mobile, etc.) and tech stack you wish to work on. We also don’t have ’must start now’ date for Grads – you start to suit you. Some of our grads prefer to join us straight away and some travel the world for a few months before beginning their journey with us.

The Vista Internship programme enables you to gain skills and practical experience to complement your studies. Each year, we invite applications from students who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Systems, or Information Technology. As an intern, at Vista you will learn all about us, what we do and how we do it.

Tech stack

We currently work with the following tech stack: Angular 5, Octopus, Redis, Wep API, ReactNative, Preact, RabbitMQ, Microservices, Elastic Search, Docker, Azure.

Good things with good people

Our fantastic people will mentor, coach, and encourage you to develop your potential. Vista’s success is built on recognising the importance of everyone's contributions, and we regularly attend key technology events, help staff achieve technical certification, and offer a mixture of rewards and benefits. We have a structured training program designed to help you grow and upskill, so that you’re ready to conquer real world challenges.

Vista actively looks for star interns as well as grads. Interns aren’t assigned tedious projects that the full-time developers don’t want to do. In fact, I think the interns get some of the best projects. I worked on an R&D project for Android and iOS using beacons and other interns have worked on various projects, some of which are live and being used by customers around the world. You even get to present your project to some of the executives at the end (and they love it)
